About

Various events at the gallery, featuring works by Jaime Cortez,
Veronica De Jesus, Matt Mullins, and Sonya Rapoport.

Martina }{ Johnston is an artist-run house gallery. A small part of the vital community of artists living in the Bay Area and beyond, we are excited to offer a space for experimental projects and where artists can present their work in an intimate domestic setting.

We are located in North-West Berkeley, just off Gilman Street on the corner of Sixth and Harrison. Built in the early 1900’s, our house was one of the original "Berkeley Farms" with the only windmill still standing in an area that has transitioned from dairy pasture to a busy industrial zone. Our exhibition space is in the main house, upstairs from the three artist studios. It is also our home.

Please come pay us a visit sometime!
